West-Camp Completes Acquisition of CSP Graphics

Westerville, Ohio - January 8, 2018 - West-Camp Press, Inc. announces the acquisition of Cleveland-based CSP Graphics, to support its growing client base in the northern Ohio market including the Cleveland Browns. West-Camp is the Preferred Display Graphics Partner of the Browns and this facility will provide greater support for the work in this market. This is the second acquisition for West-Camp in the last seven months and represents its first manufacturing plant outside of Central Ohio.

West-Camp was founded in 1961 and has grown into a full service printing company offering traditional offset and small format digital printing along with grand format digital and screen printing. The printing company has had 10 consecutive years of growth driven by continued expansion of print technology. In 2016, West-Camp became 100% Employee owned company (ESOP).

CSP Graphics was formed in 1972 as a high quality screen printer and evolved into a large format graphics specialist. In addition, CSP Graphics employees will continue to work for a growing organization with similar values.” Mr. Filigenzi will serve as consultant to West-Camp and assist in the transition.

With the latest acquisition, West-Camp will have over 150 employees and 120,000 square feet of manufacturing, warehousing and distribution in multiple locations including Westerville, Columbus and Cleveland.

Westerville, Ohio- July 11, 2017- West-Camp Press, Inc. announces the acquisition of American Colorscans, Inc., expanding its print communications capabilities. This marks the second acquisition for the printing company in recent years. With this transaction, West-Camp sets itself apart by offering clients the broadest range of print capabilities few organizations can match.

Founded in 1961, West-Camp is a full service printing and marketing firm. The company is known for its extensive capabilities including offset, digital and digital grand format printing, as well as fulfillment and direct mail. The acquisition adds large format screen printing to their arsenal and the ability to offer hybrid print solutions, combining traditional screen print with digital enhancements, along with expanding its current point-of-purchase solutions to its retail clientele.

American Colorscans was formed in 1987 as a color separator and has evolved into a large format graphics specialist. Bruce Westfall II, Colorscans President, explained, “We were approached by several companies to join forces, but none had the strategy, product portfolio, and growth potential of West- Camp. Their reputation in how they approach customers, vendors, and their employees led me to believe this merger would provide a great future for everyone.” With the acquisition, Westfall has joined the West-Camp management team.

The combined company of West-Camp and American Colorscans will have over 150 employees and 100,000 square feet of manufacturing in multiple locations including Westerville and Columbus.

West-Camp receives the incentives of the Commercial and Industrial Energy Savings Program offered by the City of Westerville. Commercial and industrial electric customers of the city qualify for the incentive by completing self-directed projects that result in energy savings and peak demand reduction. Our project includes replacing 45 metal halide fixtures with 158 fluorescent lamp fixtures, and is projected to save more than 27,000 kilowatts of energy per year.

A Second EFI Vutek GS5000R Added to West-Camp

The increase in customer demand after installing our first EFI Vutek GS5000R has led to the installation of the second GS5000R at West-Camp. The five-meter (16 feet) output and multi-roll capabilities provide customers tremendous flexibility for their POP and graphic needs. West-Camp is one of only five production houses in the United States and only facility in the Midwest to offer two GS5000R printers. Our location and capabilities make West-Camp an ideal facility to produce and distribute point-of-purchase (POP) displays to our retail clients across the country.

Congressman Pat Tiberi toured West-Camp Press facilities on Tuesday, October 14th as a part of a visibility event hosted by PIA, PrintPac and the Printing Industries of Ohio and Northern Kentucky. The Congressman was welcomed to the facilities by West-Camp executives Ed Evans and Chip Hilleary, PrintPAC representative Lisbeth Lyons, and incoming PIA chairman David Olberding.

West-Camp Installs Heidelberg XL 106

West-Camp extends our offset pressroom with the installation of a Heidelberg XL 106 printer with UV capabilities. The press has the ability to run conventional or UV inks, which allows it to run more quickly and efficiently and to handle a wider variety of substrates. It utilizes a high-performance digital control system and Heidelberg Inpress technology for quicker, more efficient make-readies, color consistency, and speeds up to 18,000 sheets per hour. The state-of-the-art technology of the XL 106 expands West-Camp's production capabilities, allows us to offer a higher quality product to customers and gives us an edge over competitors.

Introduction of the EFI Vutek GSR5000R

West-Camp Press installs the EFI Vutek GS5000R, a five meter roll-to-roll UV printer that allows us to expand the versatility and quality of the products we supply to our customers. The dual roll-to-roll technology provides ultra-high-resolution printing and the ability to support simultaneous versioning with multi-roll printing for high throughput and production flexibility. The sixteen foot printer delivers superwide banners, posters, graphics and point-of-purchase (POP) displays on a variety of substrates including vinyl, paper and textile, supporting both interior and outdoor applications. With production speeds up to 3,100 square feet per hour, the Vutek GS5000R enables West-Camp to satisfy the most demanding delivery schedules

Now with over 100 employees working out of three facilities and 100,000 square feet of manufacturing, West-Camp Press is better positioned to serve its customers by adding traditional direct mail along with data & campaign management.

This acquisition complements West-Camp's recent expansion efforts of transforming traditional offset and digital printing operations to become the area's largest digital display graphics provider serving retail clients with over $1.5 million dollars of capital investments. In addition, West-Camp has added a second Westerville location supporting its growing web development operation. Central Ohio Graphics has rapidly become a leading marketing service provider with a variety of solutions for direct campaign management. The merged operation will offer clients the most extensive print and marketing solutions in the region.

Suzanne Hilleary, Central Ohio Graphics CEO for the past 30 years, transformed the company into a direct mail and digital printing leader in Columbus. She has been an industry advocate, receiving numerous awards for her entrepreneurship and serving as a board member of the Printing Industry of Ohio. Suzanne will retire and reside in Henderson, Nevada.

Chip Hilleary, President of Central Ohio Graphics, Inc., will be joining the West-Camp Press executive management team of CEO Ed Evans, President Dave Marsh and CFO Rob Morris, as the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
